it's been a while since we've last seen the Stein family and I think an update is in order. when we last saw them it was New years Eve, we'd just found out Elowen is immortal, and at least half of Sebastian's family are vampires. in the time that we've been gone a lot has changed for this family. Sebastian finally got all the answers he's been seeking, about who his mother really was, about her family, and about himself.

this post is pretty long and lore heavy so I've written it in a different style and put it under the cut

Sebastian met- more like reunited with- Griffin, his mother's (Rosalie's) best friend. The person who knew all the answers to his questions and was willing to give them. Griffin explained everything to Sebastian, everything his father (Christopher) refused to.

Ramblings about my Sierra and just kinda world tour overall rewrite (but it's mostly Sierra). Buckle in, it's a long one.

So Sierra has always had a hard time connecting with people, she's never really knows why but it's been like this her entire life. Her mom always focused more on her Chris obsession than Sierra and her dad was never around so she grew self-sufficient early on. She also got into reality TV really early too (big brother. Survivor, project runway, ect.) I think her mom had her watch an old Chris show and it snowballed from there. She's been online for along as she could remember, bouncing around Fandoms until total drama. With total drama she became totally obsessed, doing what she already did in Canon (except the stalking). She managed to become friends with izzy early and she gave her content for her blog and she also managed to interview cody a couple times.

When she got on world tour she was so excited and she was even more excited when izzy switched her teams, Heather, Courtney, and Gwen were her favorite contestants and she already felt like she was friends with Cody. When it comes to the other contestants I think she got along with team victory, Owen, and Izzy for the most part (DJ, Bridget, and Leshawna were put off by her but friendly)<- same with Gwen and Cody till a certain point. She didn't really enteract with Tyler or Zeke, but Courtney, Noah (both like Cody, till a certain point) and Duncan where more hostile. Heather was complicated but I'll go into that in a different post, and she saw through Alejandro from moment one and was more proactive about it than she was in Canon but also they get to a point where they understand and empathize with eachother.

Going into some of them more, her and Harold had a short and sweet friendship (they play dnd together post-canon), she bonds with Lindsay through fashion (all those years of project runway came in handy) she takes Sierra shopping sometimes post-canon and wears anything Sierra makes her. She has what was mostly one-sided beef with Noah because of how elusive he was between seasons (he didn't tell izzy shit) but then Noah decided to be snarky asshole and crossed the line with her a good couple times while she doesn't fight back cuz she never fights back. When he comes back tho they and Heather form an anti-alejando alliance and their relationship gradually gets better. Courtney's Courtney but after paris she softens a little (instead of a breakdown surrounding Cody it's surrounding team amazon seeing her as a tool more than anything after pretending to be her friends) but they're not good until Greece, Sierra was there to listen to her more than anyone else and didn't put her game infront so by the final 4 court is rooting for her or alejandro. Finally Cody had major issues communicating boundaries and found Sierra as a nessecary annoyance until Paris where they (and heather) had an actual discussion about it, him and Sierra then got closer and closer each episode until London, when Noah crosses the line for a final time and Cody snaps at him, that's when him and Sierra become best friends. She managed to bargain with the crew to get her knitting stuff and made Cody a sweater for his birthday, he ends up getting eliminated in rapa nui so she gives it to him with the promise he won't open it till the next episode.

Everything else plays out like it does in cannon more-or-less, Noah instead of Cody, more humanizing alejandro stuff, heatherra, ect. (Also no more robot) her and alejandro are recovery buddies and also start a podcast after.

So yea this was long and mostly about dynamics more than anything but this has been rattleling around in my head for a while now

hi there! :-)

i started working as a furrier somewhat recently-- for about 3 years-- before this i was an armature taxidermist and a very casual vintage fur collector. i started making fur hats on a whim and realized i really enjoyed designing + making patterns and sewing the pelts. i was originally self-taught but ended up with some wonderful mentors. i used to sell online but now i'm transitioning into working at a fur shop!

i've always been interested in fur because mammals (particularly foxes) have always been my main special interest and i spent a lot of time as a kid reading articles about genetic mutations found on fur farms. i have a heart condition that makes me susceptible to the cold + i'm allergic to polyester so my grandmother gave me a mink fur hat that gave me an appreciation for fur.i know it sounds odd to most people but i work with fur because i love animals and i love learning new things about them!

becoming a furrier is self-taught at first by trial & error, then getting a mentor who's in the trade, and then finding an in-person fur shop to work at or selling online.

What Do You Do When You Fall Into Heaven? (#fihau) Told from multiple perspectives, takes place during/after the movie and is a hurt/comfort. The same cast as Initium Novum, with some additions :) I really wanted to write the future guys man they all show up at some point

Who's That Hamato? (#wthau) Kind of an au of Initium Novum, it's what if Acie was also taken in by Splinter. Explores a different facet of them, explores how their relationships would be different in a different situation.

We Have Got To Stop Meeting New People Like This (#snpau) Another Initium Novum/WDYDWYFIH au but this one's Ninjago :) Similar to House of the Rising Sun (Shells) in that the Merge caused their world to join the Merged Realms, they all explore this new world and Acie gets to go nuts.

Boys of Summer (#bosau) Non-OC au, it's another separated au throw the confetti throw the sparkles- Leo focused, he's still with Splinter but Draxum is there as well and has been redeemed, the others found their own ways out of the lab and ended up in different places.

Rise from the Dead (#rftdau) Non-OC au, puts a ghostly spin on the story. The turtles are all ghosts that only April can see. There's no yokai and no mystics, but multiple yokai characters are still in the story, just as humans.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Critters (#tmncau) Sort of Minecraft au but not really, I just really really love the fanon Minecraft hybrids so I made the turtles into them :). They're mutants still but they've got distinctly Minecraft hybrid traits I've put sooo much thought into the traits for all the different hybrids it's so fun

Shell From Another Realm (#sfarau) A Rise/Ninjago crossover au, takes place post-Rise movie and post-Crystalized pre-Dragon's Rising. The turtles, April, and Casey end up in the world of Ninjago and try to find their way home while also trying to figure out this new world.

House of the Rising Sun (Shells) (#hotrsau) Another Rise/Ninjago crossover au, completely separate from the previous one in that this takes place during Dragon's Rising instead. When the Merge caused all the Realms to collide, Earth was one of them, and everyone ended up scattered across the Merged Realms. The Hamatos decide to settle in the Crossroads and meet some young faces.

Some Assembly Required (#sarau) Completely rewrites the entire thing, based on the question "what if the bite from the Devourer didn't turn Garmadon evil and instead made him sick?" Garmadon is good and raising his children, the kids aren't really as in tune with their elemental powers, and I made a bunch of lore for it around the dragons and the other elemental masters please ask me about it please please /lh (has a couple ocs but not very many) (pretty shippy, a lot of poly relationships)

Web of Destiny (#wodau) Spiderman au, all six main ninja are a group of heroes, with Pixal as a vigilante. Other characters from the series feature as villains. The Dragons Rising cast also features.

The Dragon's Samurai (#tdsau) Crystalized ending rewrite, Pixal focused. Asking "what if their golden powers went haywire after they sent them to Lloyd, causing them to lose themselves? Also what if Nya got a golden form I'm so sad she didn't get one" Basically they get taken over by their powers and Pixal has to go talk some sense into them I lOVE PIXAL SO MUCH DO YOU UNDERST

Abnormal Reaction (#arau) DO YOU GUYS LIKE THE BIZARROS BECAUSE I DO this is entirely me wanting to have a Bizarro au they don't die after getting dusted they just regroup somewhere else and decide to go do their own thing after Garmadon gets defeated

Ninjagoing Going Gone (#gggau) Sort of Scooby Doo-esque mystery au, kind of a blend between movieverse and showverse. Starring Arin, Sora, Wyldfyre, and Euphrasia, they're looking for the old heroes they used to hear about as kids who completely disappeared years ago. They find Lloyd and force him convince him to help them, even though he's not so sure he can.

These Problems Are Multi-Faceted (#tpamfau) Gem au! Like from Steven Universe! Except it's not a Steven Universe au, it doesn't follow the plot of the show at all. Super quick synopsis is Pink Diamond grew tired of the way things were on Homeworld and so rebelled, escaping with his fellow rebels to a planet already under his control. After lots of fighting and the establishment of a shaky truce, an Emerald and his crew are sent to the planet to try and bring Pink back.

- Radio paints his nails

- Burrito likes pink, frilly dresses but would never admit it

- When Candelabra was in school a kid was picking on her, and she got stressed and kicked him in the chin and ran

- Medal has been caught wearing "feminine" clothes

- Torch had an emo phase, and everyone constantly reminds him of

- Candelabra ate paper towels as a kid

- Candelabra kisses her friends on the cheek

- Burrito really wants to be closer to everyone in the group, especially Candelabra and Radio, but she doesn't know how so she jus is a bitch

- Torch really hates those sugar cookie things but nobody will ever know

- Medal has DEFINITELY done the challenge where u see how many marshmallows you can put in your mouth

- Red has a gap in his tooth that makes him look more nerdy, and he also has to use those big glasses for a long time

- One time Silver Spoon found Candelabra asleep in a dumpster with a family of possums, and Candelabra would refuse to get out so Silver had to pick her out with a grabber thing

- When Candelabra is grown she definitely has multiple pet reptiles

- Torch is very proud of his long hair, refuses to take slander, refuses to go to a hair salon, his hair is basically his child (more of a humanized setting)

- In a group chat with all the kids, they would all be having an important discussion, and Burrito would jus send a stupid meme out of nowhere

- Candelabra had a gacha phase, and she had a YouTube channel with a cringy gacha series, and she can't log back in to the account to get rid of it, so everyone jus sends her the link to the videos to mess with her

- Medal has a missing tooth

- Candelabra definitely practiced kissing on her hand

- Candelabra really likes dancing with Torch, so she has to teach Red to dance cuz he got jealous

- Radio quotes old vines a lot

- Medal never goes a day without hearing a dad joke

- Torch has a tongue piercing and he thinks no one knows about it

- Burrito would get back dermal piercings

- in the future Candelabra would get tattoos, and she'd be matching with some of Candles tattoos. And Silver isn't the type to want a tattoo but he would get one jus to match with the three of them

- Candelabra has three pet snakes but they hate each other so she keeps them in sperate tanks

- Candelabra has taken home and raised many baby possum, and Silver and Candle knew nothing

- Medal and Candelabra are besties and go to Target at 3 AM, and one of them always rides in the shopping cart

- Candelabra and Medal have friendship bracelets

- The entire group does matching Halloween costumes, and one year they did the Teletubbies and one had to be the baby sun and one was Noo Noo (it was Radios idea)

OH MY GOSH! The happy dance-squealing sound combo I made when I saw this ask was absolutely insane. Buckle up because I am very excited, very caffeinated and going to write you a small novel in response!

I had way too much fun writing the whole piss segment, I too get extremely pee shy when there are people around and can hear it so I obviously had to inflict that on poor Fictional!Matty as well. In interviews from that era, Matty was also extremely passionate about Frozen, and Let It Go just seemed way too fitting 😂

Matty in 2014/2015 was tiny, at the time I don't think I even realized how tiny he was. But especially looking at pictures and videos of him now compared to then? Whoa. The man looked like a strong breeze would knock him over. Taylor during that time period, and Fictional!Taylor in my fic (who is a more dramatized version) was struggling with disordered eating and body images issues. Therefore, in my fic, she's hyper aware of those around her, and Fictional!Matty is skinny, boney, and as far as fictional!Taylor knows, basically living off of cigarettes, red wine, and Starbucks brownies, so obviously she is captivated by it. She had no idea that he's spiraling deeper and deeper into addiction. I think I had said it before, (and if I haven't I've at least told the Bestie) this isn't going to be a story where they make each other better. It's going to be one where they make each other worse.

IRL Matty during that era was a very outspoken Taylor Swift fan (before the whole putting his foot in his mouth thing about it being emasculating to date her) so my Fictional!Matty is obviously protective. He's still very much an up and coming artist at this point, and she's Taylor Fucking Swift in her 1989 era! He also has a little bit of a hero complex, we haven't seen it as much yet, since this fic is primarily from Taylor's perspective, but Fictional!Matty is an absolute disastrous mess and he is salivating at the chance to be the one to have it together, instead of having to constantly have someone else clean up his mess making him protective... And in terms of Fictional!Karlie, I hate to say it, but she is a model, and even if Heroin Chic wasn't necessarily all the rage in 2014 - it was still prevalent and influential enough that unlike my Fictional!Taylor, she knows what she's looking for and can clearly see the signs in Matty.

Taylor and George will be meeting in an upcoming chapter! It might not go the way that you're thinking or hoping though 👀

💫 Random favorite trope

I'm realizing these questions maybe weren't the best for me to reblog because I'm not sure I know the answers. Other people could probably notice what tropes I use better than I can. I know like a reluctant hero who wants nothing to do with the call to adventure lmao. I also like writing about cultural exchange so language barriers and characters who are fundamentally different creatures or who have wildly different life experiences come to mind. Insert Mermaid AU or whatever. Also..........found family again tee hee. Just put a bunch of weirdos through adversity so they can bond and love each other thanks.

🧶 What's a fluff plot you'd like to write?

I'm not sure what fluff plots I want two write mostly because A Long Way Off keeps providing me opportunities to put in just everything I want. I think a mall date would be fun to write, maybe I’ll put one in. Malls are very of the 90s here and the few malls that didn't go out of business are such a different experience now. When it comes to fluff I find myself writing about mundanity. There’s a real niceness to doing boring things with your favorite people. I wanna write about hugging and cooking together and stuff. People taking care of each other. Talking about nothing important. Also idk maybe the blorbos should kiss more, they deserve it.

🗯 What's an antagonistic plot you'd like to write?

Antagonists and conflicts are an interesting topic. I tend to prefer representing conflict that isn’t black and white. I want characters in conflict to each have an reasonable point of view so it’s easy to understand why they believe what they believe. It’s boring if one side is “just evil” or whatever. People aren’t really like that in my experience. I want both sides of the conflicts in my stories to have a point whenever I can write it that way. I want the reader to have to think about who they align with and why. It's boring if I just tell you what to think. I also think it’s interesting to write about characters who are stuck in conflicts that are larger than themselves and who are tasked with trying to navigate an understanding of the world that doesn't match what they’ve been taught about those conflicts. For example, members of feuding families, young people who have been born into the wars of their fathers, creatures or factions who are framed as natural enemies—inherited conflict where what side you’re on is not only assumed but socially enforced. What is one supposed to do when they stop believing what they were taught or have experiences that go against their prejudices? Romeo is out here like my dad says fuck the Capulets but Juliet is kind of hot tho….

🗨 What's a plot or trope you'd like to write [character] in?

You didn’t mention which character you want me to talk about so I’m going to assume it’s one of the two most likely ones we have in common. Sal. I just want to make Sal a creature so bad. I want him in every monster AU. I want a dumb mermaid AU. I’m gonna make him a rude cat boy. I want to make him the weird ghost haunting your house. I just think Sal is so funny in canon because he has regular guy syndrome no matter what extraordinary things happen to him. He’s so grounded. He’s so well adjusted. His perspective is so measured and humanistic literally no matter what, even when he is ripped from his plane of existence and shot across the multiverse. He's just vibing and having regular guy thoughts about everything. It’s very funny to me, and that makes me want to put him in crazier AUs more often. I would love to explore that dissonance between Sal's absurd fantastic circumstances and his normal guy reactions more.

For Larry I have kind of a cop out answer because I’m already writing it in the background of A Long Way Off. I'm really interested in how Larry forms his personal identity because I think he has a lot of similar ideas as Sal about things like masculinity and growing up and his place in the world but he's kind of fighting against different factors than Sal is. For one, I think it's more difficult for him to express vulnerability or anything feminine as it is for Sal. Sal is already "a freak" so in that sense society expects less of Sal than of Larry. Sal has more room to experiment than Larry does. I think Larry feels a lot more pressure to figure out what the world wants from him and to try to live up to that standard. He needs to be a respectable adult who embodies all the parts of manhood that his dad wasn't there to fulfill. But at the same time Larry is interested in counter culture, and the same masculine ideals that are important to him also make him feel threatening and force him to distance himself from things he used to find fun, like playing "girly" games with Ashley as kids. It's a hard balance to strike, trying to be a strong reliable man and a soft approachable boy at the same time. Also being more of a grown street rat and less of a sweet faced kid than he used to be has also caused him problems in school.

I tried to allude to it a little bit here. Because of his accident with the rabbit and because puberty hit him like a truck, Larry has kind of been categorized as a delinquent by adults and my experience of public school is that once authorities in systems assume you're a "bad kid" it's very hard to overcome that label. Anything you do is interpreted differently, especially if you are not white. Larry--who is large and mean looking and into "devil music" and has a permanent record and gets lumped in with his South American classmates--doesn't stand a chance. When he asks his teacher for a pencil, that teacher is going to assume he doesn't have it because he's irresponsible, because he doesn't care about school, because he has a bad attitude, because he's going to grow up to be a deadbeat and go to jail. But we know Larry, he's just trying to get through his day. I never bring this up in the story but I think the reason Larry doesn't have a pencil is because he lent it to somebody else and never got it back. But if you ask that teacher they probably just assumed he threw it at another kid or something. I think Larry is constantly wrestling with this double standard--am I supposed to be this strong responsible man or am I supposed to be this innocent well meaning kid? Adults seem to expect both from him and yet they arent happy when they detect aspects of either one. It's not fair and I worry about him. Anyway sorry for saying so much about it, I haven't really written a character like him before so I find it interesting. I think Larry's crisis of identity is kind of the opposite of Sal's in a sense. Sal knows who he is but he doesn't have a realistic understanding of how he is perceived by the world and he is very afraid of that. Larry, by contrast, understands completely how he is perceived by others, but he spends so much time worrying about those perceptions that he hasn't taken the time to ask himself who he wants to be.

A Chance Encounter - Closed Starter

Sleipnir wasn't sure how it happened, all he knew was there was a beep and then a loud bang and flash of fire. Sending the man and several others in the small store flying against the wall.

Sleipnir hit the ground, rolling onto his back as his blurry eyes caught the ceiling, shaking and crackling all around them. Oh gods no.

It began to crumble into large chunks of stone and concrete, falling fast and hard around them, surely to be a stony grave for all if they didn't move fast. Sleipnir got to his feet, skidding around the ground as he reached for the first person he saw, fingers grabbing at their jeans and lifting them with ease, holding them under his arm as he found another, barrelling towards the broken window and throwing all three of them out.

Sleipnir panted, eyes dancing around trying to find the last of the people from the store. Ignoring the peoples cries as he ran back into the crumbling building. Not long after he went in, the building collapsed in on itself. At least it would have, if not for the glow of green, holding some stones and chunks of cement in place before another explosion, breaking those stones into dust.

Sleipnir returned, panting and blooded, his body heavy and his eyes half closed, handing over the little girl. Thankfully there was too much commotion out here, hopefully no one would have noticed his supposed heroism - he was just another face in the crowd. Right?

I think I'm in dire need of sleep.

I still live with my parents who basically live in the middle of nowhere in a clearing in the woods. I thought, for some ungodly reason, that there was someone in the house. In my panic I thought, "Oh God, my entire family is going to die and I'm the only still awake that can prevent it." Now fully worked up and paranoid, I decide that I'm not gonna let that happen. I set to search for the good ole small Louisville slugger under my bed so I can beat the shit out of my family's future murder. What I forgot in this haze was admittedly more than one important thing.

1. We have cats

2. I threw a Bic's razor under my bed sometime ago because reasons, and promptly decided it was future me's problem

3. I am future me

Reaching under my bed was a bad idea. I didn't realize it until I found the bat that I had cut two of my fingers on the razor and was bleeding. So I grabbed the bat and held it aloft as I left my room all the while clutching my phone in my bleeding fingers. I realized in that moment, as the haze was fading, that I probably looked stupid. I was doubly confirmed of my stupidity when I looked to the bathroom with one of our cats lounging halfway in the doorway looking at me. Still, I grasped the bat, not yet convinced. The bathroom, I had completelyforgottenabout until I went in there, held no band aids due to the fact they were brought into the living room sometime ago. Still believing there to be an intruder, I went to the living room because I just really needed some goddamn band aids.

I found the band aids and that really was pretty much it. I realized by then that everything I was hearing was probably the cats goofin and gaffin about and I went back to my room feeling pretty stupid.

This all happened in fifteenish minutes.

I should probably go to sleep.
